Welcome to your weekly triple shot latte of what's going on in the boutique industry. Thank you for all the responses to the last trivia! Congratulations to Theresa Kelly from Payton Piper Boutique for being the 11th person to correctly respond!

#ThrowbackThursday Post: If last week's trivia question wasn't enough of a hint, this week we're discussing 5 Boutique Owners that are changing the game.

When you first meet Jolinda, it is impossible to ignore her high energy and bright personality. She’s full of life and obviously knows a cute get-up. What makes Jolinda a game-changing boutique owner is her focus on having a quality community. Her team makes very clear announcements through infographics on their schedule, sales going on, etc. They also stick to one thing. She knows her time and energy are best spent on CommentSold. So, she went all in on a CommentSold website, not a Shopify one, a CommentSold app, and a close-knit community. She understands that she is trusted and she’s not just going to sell her customers anything. She is careful with what she buys and wants to show to her customers, all while cutting through the noise. She was an easy Top 5 game changer!

“We’re live!!!!” Meet Katrina DiMiele. Wife. Mother of 4 Children. Over 13 Years of Experience within the Fashion + Beauty Industries. Double Mastectomy and Hysterectomy all before the age of 30. Giving her such a different, beautiful perspective on life, love, and culture. How can she not share her experience with all of us? Through The Other Side Tribe, we are taken along for the journey of freedom through fashion, body positivity, and self-empowerment. What makes her a game changer is her dynamic style. It keeps customers guessing on what she will do next. She understands that customers are there to watch her. She has to keep things interesting and she embraces it!

Jenna Champion Powell is a “Jennarational” talent, who shows us the power of pivoting when your back is against the ropes. In 2020, with the surge of the pandemic, Jenna made the decision to close 2 of her 3 brick & mortars. Though it may have been a very tough decision, she pivoted towards where her time was most valuable–in her community. With 49,000 strong in her VIP group, she’s focused on scaling more than ever before. She changed her business, refocused, and succeeded because of it–landing her #3 on list.

*Alexa, play “Run the World” by Beyonce * I’m sure she get’s these jokes a lot.If you’ve seen Alexa’s lives, you know she has an infectious glow to her. Her subtle yet sweet way of showing products creates a no-pressure buying experience. Her chic style elevates any basic. She also stays true to her customer base. She doesn’t flock to trends too quickly. She knows that her customer base prefers function, versatility and timeless style, and she speaks to that. For every bright bold color, she often offers a neutral option. Less is more with Alexa, which is why we felt she earned the #2 spot on this list.

No surprise here. Tori has made Pink Lily a household name. What makes her number 1 on our list of Boutique Game-changers is her relentlessness to scale. No amount of inventory, no size warehouse, and no TikTok trend is too scary for Tori to pursue. She may be the first to tell you that being scared to do something is just a waste of time and complacency is the start of failure. In an interview with Natfluence, Tori said “Don’t get too comfortable with your success. Always make new goals once you reach your first one.” Also, if you haven’t checked out their Youtube Channel, you need to (like yesterday). The conviction she’s developed into her team is amazing. I’m sure she’ll tell you she got lucky with great people, but we’re sure the staff built their dedication to PinkLily watching her relentlessly working with them side-by-side. She is the ultimate “goals” when it comes to running a boutique. Congratulations, Tori!

Reflection Time: Is your business one of many or are you in a league of your own?

In Alex Hormozi's Book $100 Million Dollar Offers, he discusses a very interesting concept of competition. He encourages all entrepreneurs to RAISE prices. I know, that's crazy! But the concept is to give people an offer they would feel absolutely foolish rejecting.
Here's the thing, boutiques can be having a grand ol' time and POOF "Sassy {Insert Cute Noun Here} Boutique" pops up next door. The fight from that point on out is "who is going to be the cheapest to buy from?"
How about we don't do that? Can we give an offer to our customers that they simply cannot refuse? That can come in many forms. Maybe you say "take the top, wear it out with your Husband, and then I want you to come pay for it." I know it sounds insane, but the idea has worked. Amazon's 7-Day try-on program has a "keep rate" of 88%. I was shocked to find that out, considering it's basically encouraging people to return it. Well, it uses the reciprocity principle. It's one of the basic laws of social psychology: It says that in many social situations we pay back what we received from others. In other words, if Joan does you a favor, you're likely to return it to her.

Send in your idea of "an offer that would be foolish to refuse" and you can win $100 in ZSTASH cash.
